Dragon Ball Complete Box Set: Volumes 1–16
The Dragon Ball Complete Box Set Vols. 1–16 brings the full opening Dragon Ball manga series together in one coordinated collection. Written and illustrated by Akira Toriyama and published in English by VIZ Media, the set offers an easy way to follow Goku’s earliest adventures without purchasing the sixteen volumes separately.
The story begins when Bulma, a brilliant young inventor searching for seven mysterious Dragon Balls, crosses paths with Goku. Although he has grown up far from civilization, Goku possesses unusual strength, a monkey tail, and a fearless curiosity about the wider world. Their search soon develops into a much larger journey filled with martial-arts training, unusual rivals, dangerous opponents, tournaments, humor, friendship, and increasingly challenging battles.
Across the collection, readers can follow Goku’s growth from an innocent young adventurer into a disciplined fighter. The series explores persistence, teamwork, courage, rivalry, self-improvement, and the importance of protecting others. Its combination of action, comedy, fantasy, and memorable character development gives the books broad appeal among manga readers.
The set also includes an exclusive double-sided poster and a collector’s booklet containing trivia, guides, and an interview with Akira Toriyama. These premium additions make the collection especially attractive for established fans and gift buyers.
With 3,112 pages across sixteen paperback volumes, the box set provides a substantial continuous reading experience. VIZ assigns the edition a Teen age rating. Please note that this set covers Dragon Ball Volumes 1–16; the separate Dragon Ball Z Complete Box Set contains the later 26-volume series.
